Most likely you are probably a little hungover and tired from last night, there is no point in planning to go to the gym today because you will only either not go or put your body under more strain while it’s recovering.
Here is a little to do list for you instead, so you are ready for your healthy changes tomorrow.
1.Have a clear out
Get a large bin bag and go through your cupboards to remove anything which is unhealthy. This could be leftover chocolates, ice-cream, goose fat from the roast dinner, alcohol, bacon, etc (you get the picture). Anything that doesn’t need to be kept in a fridge/freezer can then be donated to a food bank.

Anything that is perishable needs to be thrown away.
2.Plan your meals
If you don’t plan your meals in then you will end up wasting a lot of your new healthy food or be tempted to get a takeaway. You should be aiming for 3 meals a day, each with a healthy protein, carbohydrate and fruit or vegetable.
Tip: don’t go for complicated dishes if you aren’t used to cooking
Now restock your cupboards with health, wholesome foods. The best way to do this is by writing a shopping list out before you go to the shops.
Create 4 headings; Diary (e.g. low fat yoghurts/ semi-skimmed milk/ almond milk), Fats (e.g. olive oil/ rapeseed oil/ olive based margarine), Carbohydrates (e.g. wholemeal pasta and bread/ sweet potatoes), Protein, Fruit and Vegetables.
Aim to have something under each heading
4.Plan your exercise
‘I am going to join a gym’ or ‘I will start running every day’ are common New Year resolutions that don’t really materialise and why? Because they aren’t specific enough. Instead, set yourself a specific and manageable target for example ‘I am going to go to a Zumba class on Tuesday nights at 7pm with Stacey’ or ‘I am going to go for a walk every day on my lunch break for 30 minutes.’
5.Buy Tupperware boxes
These will come in handy for all your healthy snacks and lunches which you can take with you on the go and avoid temptation.
6.Buy a water bottle
Dehydration will cause you to have cravings, eat more, sleep less, become tired, less concentrated, make mistakes, be moody and give you headaches. A bottle in your bag is an easy way to target this.

7.Treat yourself to some new exercise clothes
If you feel good in what your wearing it is more likely that you will do some exercise (not only this by Nike clothes’ cost an absolute fortune and if your money- minded you will be wanting your moneys worth).
