Kirsty Donald is a gastroenterology and PCOS specialist dietitian with extensive experience helping people with complex and challenging digestive health and PCOS problems.
Kirsty’s career started in the NHS as a general medical dietitian working with both in and outpatients. From this experience, Kirsty soon found her passion within gastroenterology and now specialises in this area.
Kirsty understands that having a digestive problem can take over your life. As part of her NHS role, she actually developed a specialist dedicated functional bowel clinic where she now advises on diet therapies such as the Low FODMAP diet. She also set up and now runs a dietetic-led coeliac clinic providing support for clients right from diagnosis, through to the management of the condition.
Aside from the more ‘main stream’ digestive disorders, Kirsty has a keen passion for digestive problems relating to sports. In many sports, such as running, individuals often experience symptoms which limit their ability to perform. Kirsty has advanced qualifications in this area, allowing her to help individuals reach their maximum potential as they control their symptoms.
Kirsty uses a holistic approach to get real results and symptom control for her clients. The use of a holistic approach is key in digestive health, where symptoms are often multifactorial. Kirsty has supported many clients over the years to help achieve symptom control by guiding and supporting them through proven dietary and lifestyle changes.
