Working with Kirsten has been an absolute life changer. After dealing with stomach issues for years I can finally say that I am in charge of my IBS. There is still a long way to go, but I am optimistic, as so much has already improved in 3 months. She has reminded me that change doesn’t happen overnight, and if I keep my head in the game, IBS will only play a minor role in my life. So please, for your own sake, contact Kirsten if you are struggling with IBS – I know she will change your life!
Erika Pottinger – Take Control Group Program
When I was diagnosed with IBS my G.P and consultant really gave me very little information, I was kind of told I had it and to go and follow the low FODMAP diet. This actually turned out to be much harder than I had anticipated.
I’m not going to lie when I heard about the take control programme, I thought it was just another person trying to make some money.I was very sceptical about signing up and hesitated lots.I messaged Kirsten and she explained it a bit more to me and then I attended the webinar and decided to give it ago. Northing ventured nothing gained as you would say.
It most definitely was the right thing to do!I have found the programme to be really informative and easy to follow. It is laid out and explained to you in a way which is easy to complete, a step by step approach. The handouts are good and helpful and are also easy to understand. The more you put into the programme the better the outcome is.I have worked through all the phases and have found out my triggers and tolerance levels to foods which is great as it means I can eat a much more varied diet.
I have worked with many other dieticians but I honestly feel that Kirsten goes above and beyond for the group. She is passionate about helping people with IBS and has a much better understanding as she has IBS herself. She is full of helpful, evidence-based information which is actually proven to help. She interacts within the group, as well as the other members which often gives lots of helpful advice and suggestions.
I am really glad I happened to find this programme and even though I’ve still got hurdles to cross I have a much better understanding of IBS and its multifactorial aspects.I would 100% recommend this programme to anyone suffering with IBS as it certainly has helped changed my life with IBS.
Roisin Breslin – June 2020 – Take Control Program
The take control programme has worked well for me. It’s probably taken me longer to get through it than the average person as I was travelling for a bit at the start of the year. Lockdown actually helped me to power through my reintroductions so I guess there’s a silver lining there somewhere!
As you know I tried the low fodmap diet before without much success. At the time there was little to no emphasis put on other aspects such as the importance of enough sleep, fibre intake, movement, stress etc. I’ve actually found that I don’t have that many food intolerances and it’s more to do with the reasons mentioned above. For me sleep, meditation and movement are a priority now and if I slack my gut doesn’t be long letting me know! 😂
I liked the goal setting and weekly win aspect of the course as it made you look for a positive, particularly on the weeks where things weren’t going so well.
Thanks a lot for everything, it’s so nice to be in a place where I’m not constantly bloated or in pain. And when I do get a flare up now, I know it’s temporary and can put measures in place to help.
Helen Bryne – June 2020 – Take Control Program
‘I was first diagnosed with IBS-C in 2008. Both my GP and consultant’s approach was to increase dietary fibre and take prescribed laxatives. These helped to an extent, but didn’t address the bigger picture.
I never experienced complete relief but thought that was just the way things were going to be. I had flare-ups on and off over the years with no idea what was causing them. I’d heard of the Low FODMAP diet but never tried it, as it seemed complicated and intimidating.
I came across Kirsten on Instagram and I can honestly say the Take Control Programme has changed my life. It feels like a more holistic approach in that it looks at the person as a whole – diet, FODMAPs, fibre, water intake, daily movement and stress – and how to manage these on a daily basis.
I no longer fear my symptoms because I can control them. I won’t have to avoid my favourite foods because I know how much I can have without them causing any problems.
I found Kirsten extremely supportive. Having access to her, and the other members of the programme through the Facebook group, made the process of FODMAP elimination and reintroduction so much easier to follow. Knowing there are so many other people going through the same process made me realise I wasn’t alone!
I’ve had a total turnaround with my symptoms and I’m only sorry I hadn’t come across Kirsten sooner – I would recommend her to anyone!’
Rachel Sheratt – June 2020 – Take Control Program
I have recommended the Take Control programme to so many people. The length of the modules, the downloads, the setup is fantastic. They are really easy to follow and understand.
I tried the Low FODMAP diet on my own a few years ago but I clearly did not follow it well enough. After the first 5 weeks I found it really easy to follow the diet. The structure is so clear that you cannot go wrong. I really would not change anything.
I hit a stumbling block on week 5, I did not feel like I was making any improvement, got myself low about it and thought about dropping everything. But I made myself post on the group asking for help, posted my food diaries and Kirsten and the other members were so fantastic. I made an improvement thanks to the support and suggestions and plowed on.
Thanks to the Take Control programme I feel so much more knowledgeable. If I had a bad tummy straight after a meal I always blamed an ingredient in that meal. Now I know what the reactions timings mean. My 11+ Type 6 & 7 BMs stopped, I have enjoyed talking to other members of the Take Control Facebook group and I have tried more different foods from ingredients listed in Kirsten’s documents.
Serena Bansal – April 2020 – VIP 121 Package
“After being so fed up of IBS taking over my life and already trying low FODMAP before, I had lost all hope. I followed Kirsten on Instagram and after being so amazed with her posts and knowledge, I just knew that she would be able to help me.
Working with Kirsten over the past 3 months has been the best thing I’ve done. She has made me see that I can control my symptoms and that I can live a happy life with IBS. I now see my IBS as a friend, not an enemy. Since day 1, she has been nothing but helpful and supportive and she really understands what her clients go through.
We went though a multi factorial approach, set goals each week, had 3 1 hour video calls and went through the low FODMAP diet. I was extremely nervous about reintroducing, however, Kirsten was able to change my mindset and really give me the motivation I needed. My anxiety and fear around eating FODMAPs has completely gone.
4 months ago, my diet was very restrictive and my symptoms were all over the place. Going out was hard and made me so anxious, going to university was hard and just going anywhere early morning seemed impossible. Now, i love going out and I do not think twice about it. IBS is no longer stopping me and getting in the way of enjoying my life.
All I can say is thank you Kirsten… you’ve changed my life around. I am able to live a much happier and healthier lifestyle. I never thought I would have symptom relief and I thought my life would just be constantly battling my IBS. I am so grateful for all of your help and support, you’re truly amazing at what you do!
Highly highly recommend!!
Cheryl Elliot – March 2020 – Take Control Membership
I am very pleased with this program and what it offers. Having Kirsten available to coach me along the way, answer my questions, and hold me accountable to the program are all things I needed to help keep me going. Should I need assistance at a later time I would not hesitate to sign up again.
Thank you so much for your help.
Anonymous – IBS – June 2019
Thank you Kirsty for the details of the probiotics, and thank you so much for your help.
You explained things really clearly and made it easy to follow the diet.
As you know it has made a massive difference to my health and ability to enjoy my day
Samantha Varley – Chron’s Disease – September 2018
I had my first consultation with Kirsten around four months after been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. I had very little energy, was losing weight and in pain daily. She put me on the low fodmap diet and within a week I started to see a difference. She was there on email whenever I needed help and felt supported through the process. I feel I now have my life back. I have more energy and I’m eating well. It was worth every penny!!
Thank you Kirsten! X
Gwen Bilbao – IBS & Coeliac Client – August 2018
The consultations and help I have had from Kirsten has been worth every penny. For years I have suffered from bloating, excess gas and constipation. I am also coeliac and have IBS, after 3 months with Kirsten the results are amazing my knowledge about foods and dietary requirements which I have learnt are so helpful. I now don’t have the bloating, excess gas or constipation as I now know what and what not to eat.
I would highly recommend Kirsten.
Larissa – IBS Client – July 2018
Kirsten helped me deal with my IBS symptoms and has changed the way I look at food, turning my diet around for the better. If you have digestive issues she’s the best person to see!
IBS & Milk Allergy Client – June 2018
I was diagnosed with IBS after a long period of pain, low energy levels and all-crazy digestive symptoms plus the fact that I was a lactose intolerant. That wasn’t a good lifestyle at all so I decided to take action and I contacted Kirsten after reading the amazing reviews on her website&google. That was definitely the best thing I could have ever done!
After our first consultation, Kirsten rapidly knew that I wasn’t lactose intolerant and that I had a milk allergy instead – which was one the causes of my IBS. We removed all the dairy from my diet and soon after that, almost all of my symptoms disappeared and my energy levels started to increase! Then, I followed the low-for-map diet to know exactly the amount and which foods triggers me. Kirsten guided me through all of the process: she supported me, helped me to find suitable replacements and resolved all my doubts.
Now I can live a happy, dairy free and full of energy life. I really cannot recommended her more!
Wesaal Sharef – March 2018
Before contacting Kirsten, I was at a dark time in my life, I suffered from depression, social anxiety, self-image problems and most importantly being overweight/obesity.
That email I wrote three months ago was one of the best things I have ever done in my life. Kirsten opened my eyes to a world I was blind from, she helped me through it all.
There wasn’t a moment where I felt ashamed or embarrassed to share with her the way I felt, or if I was uncomfortable with the way things where going. She changed the way I think about food. NOW I don’t consider food as an enemy but more so as a source of nourishment and joy.
I definitely wasn’t easy to work with either, my negativity was at times unbearable, but she managed to deal with me and advise me on ways I could find peace with a healthy life and diet.
After three months, my mentality has changed full circle, I can say that I’m definitely a different person now, I’m more confident, energetic and healthy inside out.
I can go on for ages about how much of an impact she has had on my life and how through her advice she is leading me to a better relationship with food through balance and moderation, and about how much I recommend her. But I will say one last thing, choose the best to get the best result.
Anonymous – December 2017 – IBS
Lack of control. Feel like you can’t forward with your life. Fed up of your time constantly being interrupted by digestive symptoms?
This was my life only a few months ago, and I’d be feeling that way for over a year. Diagnosed with IBS by doctors, given tablets to help with the symptoms a bit and having multiple referral appointments, I was at the end of my tether when after finally being referred to a FODMAP dietitian, I was told there would be yet another waiting list. I understand why our NHS waiting lists are long and how lucky we are to have free healthcare in the UK, but I just couldn’t wait any longer.
So I sought the help of a private specialist dietitian. I spoke to a few and decided Kirsten was the best fit for my needs; I liked the fact all the appointments could be online, I could email her questions whenever, and that she would look into seeing whether my symptoms were owing to something other than IBS. This was particularly important to me – I felt like the doctor who diagnosed me with IBS a year prior hadn’t fully looked into all the possibilities.
After keeping a food diary for a week, I went on the FODMAP diet. Kirsten really helped with suggesting alternative foods, and after this diet hadn’t reduced my symptoms as much as expected, she suggested cutting out any products containing milk or egg. 2 weeks later and I was 99% symptom free.
I then reintroduced milk and egg separately, and found that both caused symptoms. Kirsten said that it was most likely the egg and milk causing the symptoms, and that it was unlikely to have both these allergies and IBS, but to continue with the FODMAP diet by reintroducing FODMAPs and seeing if any gave me symptoms. Barely any of them did.
So here I am now on the other side, with my digestive issues now gone and all I really have to do is avoid foods containing milk or egg. I feel in control, I’ve been able to move forward with my life, and my time isn’t spent lying in bed after digestive symptoms have caused disruption to my day once again.
And it’s all thanks to Kirsten. She figured out my issue, provided me with invaluable knowledge about gut health, and was always able to answer any questions as she knows everything about and has such a clear passion for gut health. I am so thankful I got in contact with her, and so glad I chose to see a private specialist dietitian – it really has changed my life. For those wondering if seeing a private specialist dietitian is worth it, I have personally found it invaluable, and would most certainly recommend Kirsten as a first choice.
Margaret O’Neill – Digestive Health Client (November 2017)
I had the pleasure of a 60 minute consultation with this lady after being advised to present a 7 day food diary. For someone who eats quite healthy I thought she wouldn’t be able to see much wrong in what I was eating. She made recommendations on my fluid and fibre intake along with a few other small changes. I have to say these have made such a difference and I feel the benefits of this everyday now.
Thank you so much Kirsten.
Mary Anderson (October 2017)
When I first met Kirsten, I was very low, in pain, tearful, and feeling overwhelmed. Over a 3 month period she not only provided such invaluable information and advice but a completely empathetic lifeline of belief that we would find a way to deal with my issues.
At the end of the 3 months I left literally feeling lighter in every sense and was equipped with a level of knowledge and understanding of how to eat healthily and in tune with my body. Finally the weight is falling off but I am eating so well and really enjoying food instead of it controlling me. Life lessons weren’t a formal part of the contract with Kirsten but that is what you will get in such a supportive and informed way.
Jo Strachan (September 2017) – client with PCOS
I followed the advice from Kirsten for the last 3 months, while it has been a rocky road, full of frustration (maybe on both our parts?? Lol) and some low points, there have also been some great points, like getting to grips with food and learning how my body works and of course, despite putting a few pounds on to begin with, I have so far managed to loose 12lbs.
Thanks to Kirsten I have managed to change my own attitude towards food, as well as to change habits for the better. Because this process was completely tailored to me, it was far easier to adjust, and I truly believe these changes are forever, no fad diet or a phase, but a new way of eating for the rest of my life! I like how it has been realistic and how Kirsten did not judge my bad days, acknowledging that we are all human and go off track now and again! If you want to change habits of a life time, help your health and do it in an honest and realistic way then Kirsten is the right help for you! No where else has managed to ‘get’ me and my condition (PCOS), that was until Kirsten, and I am SO pleased I invested in her service… here’s to the next 12lbs 😊
Manchester, aged 27 (August 2017) – IBS sufferer
I started working with Kirsten in April this year after being diagnosed with IBS, and am now coming to the end of the FODMAP reintroduction stage. I found the FODMAP diet quite a complex process, and whilst I would have got my head around the do’s and don’t’s eventually, I really think I wouldn’t have been able to make such positive progress without Kirsten’s help, advice and support – and she gave lots. I am now pretty much symptom-free, and have barely had tummy ache since starting (it was once an almost constant consequence to most meals). I have been able to reintroduce most FODMAP groups, and I feel really glad to be in a position of informed choices, for which I’m very grateful for Kirsten’s input. It was especially helpful how Kirsten gave me bite-size goals to work on each week which built up over time – being a bit of an all-or-nothing person, I think this has meant I’ve been able to make a lifestyle change which might have not otherwise happened! So big big thanks!
James (July 2017) – IBS + Tenesmus sufferer
I’ve suffered from IBS symptoms (tenesmus and IBS-C predominant) on and off over the last eight years, and had recently been frustrated that the gastroenterologist could only suggest that I had IBS, but not offer any possible solutions. I’ve hugely appreciated Kirsten’s time and advice over the last couple of months, in particular her very structured approach to identifying which foods might be triggering my symptoms – firstly with a low FODMAP diet, and then by eliminating and then re-introducing possible allergens. She has always explained her interpretations of my symptoms, and has also always responded very quickly when I’ve had questions. With the wealth of information available on the Internet regarding low FODMAP diets etc, it is tempting to believe that you can solve these problems by yourself, but the interactions between food and stomach problems are so complex that I really believe an expert is needed to help you through the process, and Kirsten has been great at doing that for me.
Katrin Michaels, (April, 2017) – IBS
I have been working with Kirsten for a couple of months now to reduce my IBS symptoms and understand where they come from. Kirsten is working with me through the FODMAP diet and for the first time in years I have been able to be nearly symptoms free. Kirsten has been really useful in explaining what I can/can’t do, answering questions and helping with support along the way. I am still going through the re-introduction phase which brings its own challenges with interpreting results and Kirsten is helping me to make sense of this. So if you need help with IBS or other symptoms I would definitely recommend Kirsten.
Sara (March, 2017) – Bloating
I had decided to see Kirsten as have experienced bloating for the past couple of months. Kirsten has been really approachable from the very beginning exchanging emails. Kirsten is extremely professional and her advice and guidance on my diet and lifestyle have been invaluable to reduce the symptoms.
Kelly-Marie Musgreave (February, 2017) – PCOS & Digestive Health Problems
I can’t believe the difference Kirsten’s help has made to my digestive health in such a short space of time! I feel the best I have in years and now have the knowledge to keep myself well in the future. She also gave me great advice on how to manage my diet for PCOS and gave me much clearer advice on both issues than I’ve ever had from my GP. She’s always there to help between reviews if you’re not sure you’re doing the right thing and is so approachable and friendly that you can’t really be embarrassed! I just wish I’d done it years ago.
Thanks Kirsten
Megan Ellis (February, 2017) – IBS
Had great help working out what foods triggered my IBS. The diet that was given to me helped immensely and I can enjoy eating food again without worrying about being in pain afterwards!
Steve, Manchester (January, 2017) – Weight Loss
I approached Kirsten because I was not losing weight even though I was relatively active…Kirsten’s approachable, friendly and professional manner put me at ease immediately. Kirsten is so easy to talk too. With some modifications to my diet under guidance from Kirsten has seen me drop 8kg in approximately 2 and half months, and the weight is still coming off. I am almost at my target weight. But as others have said they do not feel like they are dieting, and I am no different.
Kirsten, thank you so much your help and continued guidance, I cannot believe the change in my weight in such a short space of time. Thank you again !!
Anonymous, Manchester (January, 2017) – IBS
I have suffered with IBS for around 6-8 years and really struggled to manage it myself. The GP wasn’t much help and I considered expensive private healthcare options but couldn’t find anything to help.”
Kirsten at the Food Treatment Clinic was the second person I’d been to see. The first was a Nutritionist and really unhelpful and put me off for a couple of years but Kirsten was such a great help. We met and straight away she gave me loads of helpful information and set me off to try and work out the root of my problems. I liked that I could email her whenever I wanted and she would reply the same day with advice.
She helped me produce a weekly menu to ensure I was getting enough nutrients and variety in my diet. Over the time we worked together we narrowed down the foods that were disagreeing with me and I can now enjoy a more varied diet then I was before. I was avoiding so many different foods before as I guessed they may be causing the problem but now I have been able to add whole food groups back into my diet which makes my cooking so much more enjoyable again.
Don’t suffer like I did for years avoiding bread and maybe onions and possibly tomatoes and whatever else could be causing the problem. Get some professional help and get it sorted, I’m really glad I did.
Liz, Macclesfield (December, 2016) – Acid Reflux
Having drawn a blank with the GP when trying to understand my worsening acid reflux symptoms and why they were limiting my diet, I decided to seek guidance from a dietician, and found in Kirsten someone who was able to look at my problems in a completely different way. Her clear explanations revealed to me that I could re-educate my mind and my body to return very gradually to not just better health through a better diet, but also to the enjoyment of foods which I hadn’t tasted for years!
Kirsten has also encouraged me to take a more active interest in my general health, making me realise that my condition has been contributing to a rather cavalier attitude towards preventive medicine. She manages to be persuasive and understanding, and is always willing to respond to questions and concerns between consultations.
Vivien Kearns (December, 2016) – IBS
A friend recommended me to Kirsten when she realised that I appeared to be suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Her son had achieved almost complete cessation of his symptoms after consulting Kirsten. Making an appointment to see her has been the best thing that I have done after suffering for a long time and trying many different medications.
At the initial visit I found Kirsten to be very approachable and extremely knowledgeable. She talked me through the process of how IBS occurs and how commencing a FODMAP diet could help in reducing symptoms by identifying the foods that were causing the problems. After following the diet for four weeks my symptoms are greatly reduced and I now feel that I have the tools to help myself in the future. However I also know that I can refer myself back should the need arise. Kirsten is available for support via face to face appointment, email, Skype and social media. I would not hesitate to recommend her service to anyone experiencing this awful condition.
Jon Kitchin (November, 2016) – IBS
“I went to see Kirsten with IBS type symptoms. Kirsten helped me enormously by recommending a diet that reduced my symptoms and I am now have a much better understanding of which foods I am sensitive to. I would recommend Kirsten to anyone else who wishes to improve their IBS or similar conditions.”
Stacey Smith (October, 2016)
Highly recommend Kirsten. Qualified, experienced and knowledgeable professional who is friendly and helpful and makes herself available (email) outside of appointments. She sets realistic targets and although my journey continues, I am confident we will get to the root of my issues.
Rachel Evans (September, 2016) – Healthy Eating
Highly recommended! My husband and I have very different tastes in food but Kirsten helped us find healthy options we can both enjoy and we are looking forward to our food again!
Michela De Rossi (August, 2016) – Hypothyroidism
Decided to go see Kirsten after having tried literally everything to loose the extra weight I had been putting on for the past couple of years. This is something I have always found really hard to do because of my hypothyroidism. Kirsten knew my condition, she is very competent and patient, incredibly quick at responding to emails and it is reassuring how she really doesn’t mind you asking any type of questions between reviews. I am really happy with the results already, really recommend going to see her.
James (August, 2016) – IBS
I was suffering with IBS symptoms for most of my adult life and had little success in treating it through my GP until I was advised to see a dietitian. After delays in getting a referral, I approached Kirsten privately and was seen straight away. I found Kirsten to be very approachable and knowledgeable about the types of symptoms I was having. It was also reassuring to know that it was relatively common and can be treated. I was advised on how to apply a diet that cut out certain trigger foods and I was surprised to find that my symptoms had vastly improved in just a few weeks. Kirsten kept in touch throughout the diet to make sure it was progressing well and has been there to offer support and advice outside of our appointments. I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone with dietary problems to get in touch with Kirsten. She has provided a solution to a long-term illness that I was convinced would never be treated.
Laura Presente (July, 2016)
With simple advice Kirsten improved my lifestyle and my symptoms in just 1 week. She is knowledgeable and very friendly and always available when you need her with loads of professional easy to follow advices.
Megs Louise (July, 2016)
Kirsten really listened to me and helped me to understand how to make the most of my workouts through diet and rest.
Great service.
Anonymous (May 2016) – IBS
For some time, I had been experiencing a number of problems with my stomach, in particular severe bouts of bloating and other symptoms that I felt were associated with IBS.
As this was making me feel lethargic, I decided to see a dietician and, therefore, made an appointment to see Kirsten at the Food Treatment Clinic. Following on from consultations with Kirsten, she recommended that I go on the low FODMAP diet.
Although this diet sounded complicated at first, Kirsten explained things clearly and provided me with easy to follow/user friendly written information and guidance. I have found Kirsten to be extremely helpful and supportive. She always contacts me to see how I am progressing and quickly responds to any queries/problems that I may encounter with this diet. As it can be challenging following any diet, particularly one of this type, Kirsten has always shown empathy to me during those times when I have struggled to adapt to the diet.
However, I have made great progress since being on the low FODMAP diet and my symptoms have eased. Kirsten continues to provide an excellent source of support and encouragement to me and I would definitely recommend her services.
Sarah Beaney (March, 2016) – Digestive Health Problems
Kirsten’s great to work with. Friendly and knowledgable she gave thorough advice to tackle my health issues and I saw very quick improvements. Always available at the end of an email she always responded quickly and encouragingly. I was frustrated that Dietician support wasn’t available to me through the NHS but in Kirsten found a great practitioner who worked very effectively to help me relieve discomfort that had been troubling me for months. With the added bonus of weight loss I now feel much healthier and happier. I thoroughly recommend Kirsten for any issues that may be related to or helped by diet, especially gut related.
Portia Bradford (February, 2016)- Weight loss
Kirsten, with your guidance advice I am steadily losing weight which I am over the moon about, clearly the right eating plan & exercise has finally moved my weight in the right direction, still a way to go but definitely a life changer, I feel I can continue putting your advice into practice and thank you for opening my eyes to certain bad habits.
I am quite content with the results so far and can now continue on my own.
Thanks for putting me on the right path Kirsten much appreciated, i do hope i can call on your services again if I need you.
Sharon Jones (January, 2016)
I have been delighted with the kind and professional service I have received from Kirsten at The Food Clinic. As the others have said Kirsten is very friendly and easy to talk to, her advise is straightforward and easy to understand and the support is fabulous.
I decided to find a dietician after suffering for years with diet related problems – these issues disappeared within one week of following Kirsten’s advice. I would certainly recommend her services and will most definitely be keeping in touch.
Claire Whitfield, Manchester (December 2015) – IBS
After my time with Kirsten, I highly recommend going to see a dietician.
I had been diagnosed with IBS but was unable to clarify what my body was reacting to specifically as it was so inconsistent and I was not eating properly or enjoying food as a result. As doctors were not able to help they suggested to see a dietician, this is where a friend recommended Kirsten to me.
Kirsten is very knowledgeable and very thorough in identifying the cause of the symptoms and was efficiently able to work with me in forming a plan to follow during the first consultation. From there, I had her support throughout via email to check my progress in between consultations. I now have a greater understanding of the foods that affect me and why. I’m feeling so much better as a result. It’s so wonderful to actually enjoy eating again! Thank you Kirsten!
Anonymous, Manchester (October, 2015) – Acid Reflux
I came to Kirsten after suffering with Acid Indigestion and Acid Reflux for many years as I wanted to explore an alternative to permanent long term use of Omeprazole medication and to understand the triggers for my digestive problems. I prepared a Food Diary for Kirsten and she immediately explained where I was going wrong and not just what foods and drinks to avoid but also the bad habits that I’d picked up over the years regarding diet. Some of these habits I was completely oblivious to and it needed that expert advice from Kirsten to explain to me where I was going wrong. We worked together on a Food and Drink plan and the results after just a matter of weeks were remarkable. In addition the Customer Service was excellent I never felt rushed and was very professional. I would certainly recommend Kirsten.
Anonymous, Manchester (July, 2015) – IBS
After suffering with IBS since childhood and feeling unsupported by GPs I was completely over the moon when I found Kirsten. The treatment I have received in only a few short weeks has dramatically improved my symptoms and completely redefined how I think and feel about food and my diet. Kirsten makes you feel at ease right away and truly listens to what you have to say about your diet and symptoms, something I felt was lacking from other medical care I have been given. She is so helpful and supportive even emailing between sessions to check how things are going and helping when you have a complete “onions are in everything” FODMAP meltdown.
Finally at 25 after 20 years of symptoms I am starting to feel normal.
Nicola Lomas, Manchester (July, 2015)
The service I have received from The Food Treatment Clinic has been second to none. The consultation with dietician Kirsten was relaxing and friendly, I felt she understood my requirements and what I wanted to achieve by changing my eating habits.
Kirsten provides support throughout the process even after the initial consultation she text me to find out how I am getting on and this really helps me if I am having a bad week where I want to grab the biscuit tin! I have noticed a huge difference even within the first week of drinking more fluids and the help the Food Treatment Clinic provides is great!
Thanks again Kirsten for all your help.
